First, the displacement of the main router caused a loss of insulation in the covers. So the solution was simple: I moved my old RT-AC66U router to improve remote connectivity. Then, when I changed the positioning of my main router, the loss of insulation occurred. This meant that blankets were still a problem, which led me to the idea of pushing my former router into a box.

Now I can say with certainty that this strategy has been beneficial. I was able to expand the network's core reach without having to invest in a new, more powerful router. In addition, I found that the time spent searching for solutions to insulation problems has been reduced. This has resulted in considerable savings in expenditure and energy consumption.

In the end, this project taught me that a former router can still be useful in our daily lives if we find ways to rethink it. So, I suggest you try this solution to solve your current problems or consider re-use of current equipment for new use.

But I try to repurpose it. A couple of months ago, I turned my old ASUS RT-AC66U router into an access point . Later, I repositioned my main router, and then coverage stopped being an issue. Obviously, that leading sending the older router back into the drawer."
